In 2005, we realized that my husband
was no longer going to be able to help take care of our house and 35
acres. I also faced the fact that I was unable to take care of
the property myself because most of my time had to be devoted to my
husband.
I took a look at the house and
property and realized there was a lot of work to be done before anyone
would pay the price we wanted.

began with the house. A new porch floor and underpinning were
the first projects followed quickly by fresh paint for the
exterior and stain for the porch floor and deck. We followed
that with a new metal roof and landscaping.

I enjoy watching "Sell This
House" on TV so I knew that the interior of the house had to be
cleaned out. We had collected "stuff" for 20 years and
it was everywhere. So, as soon as possible, I began cleaning out
rooms and closets. We also decided to remodel our master
bath. A new tile shower along with a new tile floor was
installed.
I also installed new flooring in the
library, living area, and master bedroom. Below are a few
pictures of the house that were used by the realtor.
